This saturday I am grateful and excited to be able to return to a haunted location that is rich in history as well. I will be going on an investigation of Fort Wolters Military Base this Saturday in Mineral Wells, TX. This location was near the Red River Indian Campaigns and also started as a military base in WWII. This location served as the training grounds for some of the troops and the two highest awarded soldiers of WWII, Audie Murphy and Lt. Green, trained here. Also the worst soldier, Eddie, trained here as well. This was also a German POW Camp as well. At the end of WWII Camp Wolters as it was known closed. During Vietnam it reopened as Fort Wolters and was the training grounds for helicopter pilots. There families were stationed here and a hospital was built here on the base due to numerous accidents.
