Mysterious Green Lights in the Rachel Sky

On July 7, 2024 we were entertaining friends at our Rachel home when blinking green lights were observed in the mountains around the town of Rachel.  Of course, we were intrigued and found ourselves scouring the dusk sky to see if we could get any pictures using a long-lensed camera.  The attached pictures were taken just before it got too dark to capture anything.

Once darkness settled in, we grabbed our binoculars and watched both lights for quite some time. Now, keep in mind that we have pretty good binoculars, and they have motion cancelling ability, plus I propped my arms on the window frame for support and I swear it seemed that the lights were moving.  And of course, I “wanted” them to be moving, and often movement is observed when you stare at something long enough. That observation excited me because it seemed unexplainable.

Ever the skeptic, my boyfriend, Joerg, decided to triangulate the location using his vast skills so he could plan a little research trip up into the hills during the day time.  So, on July 9th, he gathered his hand-held radio and jumped in his truck to go find the source of the lights….and he found what he was looking for. 

Someone placed green blinking lights up in the mountains that are on the southern side of town.  These are the type of lights you can buy on Amazon and use for mining markers or other uses. 

You can see how this one is propped up on an old hammer and it has solar panels on the top.

What these were placed there for is unknown to us, but the blinking lights of Rachel are no longer a mystery.  Sometimes, what appears unexplainable is actually very simple. 

So, if you read or hear someone saying that there are UAP or UFO orbs floating around Rachel (to enhance the stories of aliens at Area 51) keep in mind that hoaxes are very easy to stage.
