Not Your Typical Priest

Thanks Dave. He really was very cool. He was open minded, funny, smart, and a very hard working priest. His passion for those who were struggling was exceptional. I wish I had several copies of his books so I could just give them away. I even reached out to the publishing company to see if I could get digital copies but no luck.

Jeff, I re-read the first book "On my way home" recently and am almost done with the second book. Both are good. The first on was written for us, his family, I beieve because most of us knew very little of his life. I certainly learned a lot. He was always so busy we only saw him at weddings and such. In fact he officiated at my wedding. I will definately update you on the other books as I read them. It amazes me that his views are pretty much what I am learning about now. They are not new concepts in the spiritual world which is why I find it facinating. Some beliefs and principles transend time and their timelessness is what makes them believable. Just finished book 4 and I think it is worth a read. The first 2 are also very good. The third book is more about his life of service at the parishes he was at. He prefered to work with the poor and he was very much involved in creating agencies to help the poor, but it did not cover as much of his esoteric endeavors. I am on book 4 now and will update when I am done. 🤗

I have read all of the books and I will honestly say the first 2 books were my favorite. The third bood coverned a lot of his time at Holy Trinity which is in the inner city of Detroit and dealt with poverty and homeless people or " Knights of the Road" as he called them. The fourth and fifth book are interesting. The last book emphasized the ACIM (A Cource in Miracles) and I am now studying that but it is not easy to understand. I do advise checking all of this out.
